This week was my birthday and for my celebratory dinner, we went to Au Jardin in the lush Singapore Botanic Gardens.  After arriving by taxi at the visitor’s centre, it’s a short walk up a small hill to a little wooden house with an old-style country club bar/lounge downstairs and a classic style dining room upstairs overlooking the gardens.  The view and the ambiance reminded me a lot of a luxurious tree house hotel that I stayed in a few years ago in Kenya.

The food was delicious!  I only ever write about places that I genuinely love and this one would definitely make the list.  From my watermelon caprese salad, to the baked trout with steamed vegetables and chocolate cake, the meal was delicious.  The food tasted fresh and even with those 3 courses, and a little champagne, I felt satisfied but light when we left.  Just the way I like it!

For my evening look, I went for an old skirt in several shades of blue that has been sitting in my closet just waiting for the floral trend to be in full force.  The top is a white crop-ish silk shell, and the pastel blue shoes were on sale at Pedro the other week and needed to be in my spring wardrobe.  Accessories were silver: Michael Kors silver bag and Earings, Necklace and Ring are by LindseyMarie http://www.lindseymarie.com
