Just Your Average Walk in The Treetops with Monkeys- Saturday in Singapore

Who would have thought just 10 minutes from the buzz of Orchard Road, there is a Treetop Canopy Walk that you can access on a long hike through the jungle!  Singapore is just full of surprises.  This morning, before it was too hot, we went over to MacRitchie Resevoir Park to join some other families from AFS (Association Francaise de Singapour).  Our hike took about 2.5 hours, and it was amazing to have spent the whole time exploring trails in a jungle after taking a taxi just 10 minutes from our apartment. One thing you have to be careful about in the park are the monkeys… They will steal anything from you if they think you can- that means no sunglasses on the head and especially no food or drinks other than water that they can see or smell.  Aside from that, watching them jump from tree to tree is a fun sight to see.  Just be sure to wear comfortable, lightweight clothes, trainers with good grip, mosquito repellant and sunscreen Here’s some snapshots from the day:

Nike Vomero 6 (One of my fav most comfortable running shoes), and a big bottle of water for the backpack.

Never missing an opportunity to wear my cute workout clothes: All pieces: Nike

Here we go!

After 2.5 hours of hiking on inclines and carrying a backpack in the Singapore heat, I was ready to put my feet up when I got home!  …That is…until it’s time to go shopping!
